Black Star beer was looking to relaunch in the United States after an eight year hibernation. The special brew from Whitefish, Montana, created by Minott Wessinger, 5th generation brewer and great, great grandson of Henry Weinhard, wanted to take the history and timelessness of Black Star and put it into an updated strategy, reaching its consumer in a thoughtful way. Butchershop was hired to create this strategy and execute.

An example of the logo on the splash page for the website. The look and feel was to be something that took people back in time to the turn of the century when San Francisco had saloons and opium dens and was considered a bona fide city of industry. We think it looks cool!
The task was to find the look, feel and voice of a new bar/lounge in San Francisco. The location was the historic Cannery Building in Fisherman's Wharf. On top giving them a logo we created marketing materials, signage, all collateral including business cards, letterhead, press kit, menus. We also create a website that is easy to manage with a custom CMS that controls the entire website.
